Johnson Power and Air can work with homeowners, property managers, home renovation contractors and others who might need HVAC services. If an owner is in charge of their unit as a condo, but the AC system is shared for the whole building then the HOA or property managers may also need to be involved with the repairs. Rental property owners must be especially conscious of their tenants since having a proper AC supply is Arizona law. Yet everyone needs to have comfortable indoor temperatures, especially during the hot Arizona summers.
Residential HVAC Services
At Johnson Power and Air we provide the following HVAC services:
Air Conditioning Unit Installation
Installation of a new AC unit is most often needed for property new builds or when an older unit needs to be replaced. The size of the unit will depend on the square footage it serves. Learn more about AC Unit Installation.
Air Conditioning Unit Tune-Ups and Maintenance
Air conditioning units should get a tune-up twice a year to maintain optimal performance. It’s usually best to get it before and after summer. Since this is the preferred frequency to reduce costly repairs for units working overtime in the hot AZ weather, we’ve created an annual service plan, which is described more below. Learn more about AC Tune-Ups and Maintenance.
Air Conditioning Unit Repairs
With or without proper maintenance air conditioning units can break for a variety of reasons. When that happens you can expect a prompt reply from us so that you can once again enjoy more comfortable indoor temperatures during the summer. Learn more about AC Unit Repairs.
Heating Unit Installation
The heating systems that we use today are integrated with our air conditioning systems. Even in the hot Arizona desert, our heaters are still an essential part of an HVAC system and provide warmth for the cold nights and days during the winter. When we are looking at heater replacement it goes hand in hand with the AC unit. The same instances for AC Unit Installation would apply for Heating Units – new builds and replacements of older units. Learn more about Heating Unit Installation.
Heating Unit Maintenance and Repairs
Regular maintenance and occasional repairs are needed for your heating system. Approximately 33% of the valley uses natural gas furnaces to heat their home, and the rest use electric furnaces or heat pumps. These different types of heaters should be maintained regularly to keep them operating efficiently. If it’s a cold day and you need a prompt response, you can expect one from us. Maintaining the heating unit is also part of the HVAC service plan which is described more below. Learn more about Heating Unit Maintenance & Repairs.
Ventilation, Ductwork & Air Balancing Services
An HVAC system involves cycling indoor air from the living space, through conditioning or heating units and back into the living space. When it passes through an air conditioning unit the heat is absorbed by refrigerant and the resulting cold air is blown back into the living space. When the air passes through a heating unit it passes through heating elements and the resulting hot air is blown back into the living space. Of course, in order to cycle this air from the living space to the units and back, you need ventilation which includes both supply vents and return vents. Learn more about Ventilation Services.
Air Purification Services
If you or someone that you live with has particular sensitivities to dust, pollen, or other allergens then additional devices can be installed within your HVAC system to help purify your air. Learn more about Air Purification Services.
Smart Thermostat Installation
Any time we install an HVAC system it will include a standard thermostat. If you ever decide to upgrade to a smart thermostat, which we highly suggest, then of course we can install that for you. If you’d like us to provide the smart thermostat we can, or we can install one that you buy on your own through a retailer.
Choose the HVAC Service Plan For Optimal Maintenance and to Reduce Repair Costs
There is no doubt that with the rough climate we have here in the hot Phoenix weather, the HVAC system should be maintained twice a year (that’s in addition to you changing your air filters every month or at the very least every quarter). By having the units properly maintained before and after summer, you can prepare for any heat wave that might come our way, as well as help the AC unit recover from summer and prepare the heating unit for winter.
In order to avoid more costly repairs and in order to mitigate repairs even when you are having your system maintained, Johnson Power and Air has created a bi-annual service plan. By subscribing to this plan you’ll pay less than you would having your units maintained as needed and it comes with additional discounts in the chance that you might need repairs. This is the best way to keep your HVAC system running smoothly and efficiently throughout the year.
