An HVAC system involves cycling indoor air from the living space, through conditioning or heating units and back into the living space. When it passes through an air conditioning unit the heat is absorbed by refrigerant and the resulting cold air is blown back into the living space. When the air passes through a heating unit it passes through heating elements and the resulting hot air is blown back into the living space.
